I just got a new set of RoadSmarts for my ride. Normally (at least in my experience), the directional pattern on a tire points forward when viewed from the top of the tire. In this case, the directional arrows on the front tire would have me mount the tire so the pattern points opposite (backward). The rear tire seems normal: the directional tread will be pointed forward.
Do some tires go against the norm and point backwards? Did they mold the arrow the wrong way?
Do any of you have RoadSmarts? Which way do your tires point?

That's normal. The rear tires clear themselves as they spin and the fronts as they brake.

I bought a set, and mounted them according to the arrows. After that, I never gave the tread too much thought. I just rode. So far, I like them. We'll see how many miels I get out of a set or two.
