Gear shift lever

Post by mistral »

Ok, new tall guy here bought r1150 this weekend. I am wondering if anyone has had their gear shift lever extended? I mean in length not a larger knob. Does anyone sell one? I could stand a 1" extension. I am definately going to need a taller seat, too.

Thanks,

Ron

On a previous bike I just took off the lever and had it cut and added a small length of stainless and had it rewelded. I ground it smooth and buffed it. Can't remember the cost but very reasonable as I recall.

Check with Suburban Machinery, they are out of the Cleveland, Ohio area. Suburban advertises in the BMW ON magazine. I saw their display at our local dealer, and a longer gear shift lever was one of the components they make. If you can't find them on the web, let me know and I will find their contact information.
