Steve and I have talked on the phone since before the Ozark Bash last fall . . . . I can tell you the biggest problem isn't so much the right shoulder pain as the mandatory restrictions and long, depressing recovery period ahead. I also warned him to follow the doctor's orders to the letter - - or ELSE!!

A few FYIs:
He gets out of doing any chores!! =D>
He can stay home from work at least a month. 8)
The wife treats him a little bit better and hasn't yet punched him in the bad arm. [-X
The kids pick on and tease him knowing he prolly won't catch them or be able to hurt them if he did.
The K1200LT is getting a really really good battery charge.
Daytime TV totally sux.
Steve has plenty of time to E-Mail me good jokes I've never seen before.
Brushing your teeth and wiping the rear end left handed takes practice and never quite goes well or feels right. #-o

Steve, I'll call you tomorrow (May 1st). You need cheering up.

Clearly #9 shoes an alien fetus. And if aliens have gender, then I'm supposing photo #15 makes it's sex obvious.

Very good call, Gypsy. I can always use a nurse with such a keen eye. It took a keen eye. And someone who's not afraid of the truth. That's my credo.

OU812 alive and well and I have proof

Post by TonyT607 »

I had to travel to a meeting in Chicago this week so thought I'd give Steve a call and see if he was up for a beer (I know, stupid question).

I drove over to his place in Buffalo Grove right from O'Hare. Great family, and his wife Sharon is obviously a kind and tolerant woman. 8) A real sweetheart.

We hit the RAM Brewery in nearby Wheeling IL and had a chance to catch up and dig into some good chow. And down some really good beer. Since Steve is temporarily one-handed he asked the waitress to feed him but she told him to bugger off.

Anyway, it was great to see him in good spirits and on the mend. Behold:

Beer, schmeer . . . . Tony, You are the man !!

How can any one of us ever top your effort ??

Steve said your GPS made finding him easy and I'm guessing after the beers, her voice guidance was necessary to get you back to the house and then the airport.

GypsyRR, After I stopped laughing, I was able to squint and see the planet too! Why is picking on the cripple so much fun? Prolly because we know him personally from our gatherings and are confident it's appreciated. It sure is better for Steve than being ignored.

I got one for ya. Yesterday I saw a pro-gun bumper sticker that said:
Take a bite out of crime.
Just shoot the bastards!
Here's another one:

You said it ! BTW Tony K-bike and Big Josh were asking about you. We went to Cliff's Open House on Saturday in Danbury CT. They moved to a beautiful new facility and it was a great event. Weather was crap so we took Tony's jeep.
