Does this offend you??

Post by johnnyjs1 »

LOOK TO YOUR RIGHT ------>
I've had this Avatar since I first joined the board. It has come to my attention that there might be 1 or 2 people that are offended by it. I was very politely asked if I would be willing to change it. I wanted to do this poll to see if you guys are offended by my Avatar. Just outta pure curiosity. I told the powers that be, that if it was really that big a deal, I would change it. But then I started to mull it over in my mind for a bit. Because 1 or 2 people dont like it out of the 1000 or so members I gotta change it? Let me know what you all think. I'd like some data on the "offended" vs. the "gimme a break, its a frikken avatar" numbers. I know i've seen a few avatars with monsterous cleavage being shown, and they are still up. You do not have to comment if you dont want to, and your vote will remain anonymous. Thanks guys and gals.

People have to learn that their personal views, while respected, have no sway on another's personal views. Even if a close vote occurs, I think you should keep it. The only vote that would matter to me is Doug's.

I think it's hilarious and it makes me think about dropping the big $$ on a Corbin or Sergeant seat. Maybe they should use it in their marketing campaign.

I'm not offended either. 'cept you are not on the right side on my web view. I wonder if the people who offer/offered me 'constructive criticism' here are some of the same that are helping you as well.????

I can't honestly say that it's a pleasure to behold, but I'm not offended.

I do appreciate your open attitude about it though.

Yes.....I'm truly offended as you dared to post something that lacks color coordination and bilateral symetry. As a second profession proctologist I wouldn't know how to look into it...........

Does it belong to you? What does you wife or significant other have to say about it?

During a soccer game a decade ago I pulled my hamstring, resulting in same shade of black & blue, hurt like a SOB. In another game 5 years ago I crashed into the wall (indoor soccer) and bruised my hip, same shade of pain.

All I think about when viewing your avatar is 'ouch, that's gotta hurt' and how that image should help define 'PITA' on some Wikipedia page. Oh, and 'ATGATT' too... which means you're providing a motorcycle safety awareness service.

Boxer, sweat, =D> for the sense of humor you posses!!

Sweatmark.....i,ve been playing soccer for 27 yrs now, had my share of injuries including the pulled hammy. Indoor is brutal on the body!! Just to let you guys know, this picture was taken about 2 months AFTER the "incident" that caused it

I'd prefer to see something else but, otherwise, not really offensive.

Just think it looks a bit strange and can't work out why you would want to post that. Still not offensive to me. Happy riding.

I am doing a public service...."This is what happens when you don't ride ATGATT".

Wonder if any memebers who have avatars of breasts bouncing up and down, or giant cleavage showing have gotten "constructive criticism" or "suggestions"?? :-k

Maybe if I photoshop a bra onto my avatar, I could pass it off as purple alien cleavage

Everytime I see the beginning of the title of this thread I keep thinking the title is going to say: "Does this avatar make my butt look big?"

What happened was simply someone messaged me because they didnt like it and asked if I could do anything. Neither user is a donating member so I didnt have any pull there. So I decided to just message Johnny and see if he would mind changing it. I'm not going to make you change it, but please be considerate of others and how they view the site (at work or with their kids, for example), and post accordingly.

To be honest, It doesnt really bother me (the other ones you posted were not appropriate, so I erased them..). Actually, I am not sure I even know what it is - did that guy fall off his bike onto his buttocks? Anyway Johnny (and others), just so you know the site's stand on posting potentially offensive material, please go read this:
http://www.r1150r.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4610

Its really hard to please everyone, but if we all use respect as the overlying attitude, it usually works out ok. Thanks everyone! =D>

PS - Gypsy, I love your avatar, great work! :)

I think it is in poor taste, and wonder why you want it for your avatar, but I would never ask you to remove it. It is what it is.
