Go to my current blog page and I have a new slideshow of me and Sparky enjoying the Florida sunshine last weekend. We didn't take the bikes. Mine is still in the den watching TV, and Sparky's is a little small for that long a trip two-up. But we encountered a fellow inn resident who brought his Victory on the back of his truck. We talked bikes all weekend since he used to be a road racer.
Enjoy the pictures.

Excellent slide show. Cedar Key is a nice place to relax, like a mini Key West with out the...well, everything else.
Looks like you and Sparky had an enjoyable stay.

Re: Cedar Key Slideshow
We got up pretty early Saturday morning and went on our bike ride around the town and over to the other little island with the airport. When 11:00 came we were there at the little museum to take the tour. As we were browsing some of the old photos and reading about Cedar Key an older gentleman entered the museum and said hello. As we spoke we discovered he is the younger son of the original Doctor Andrews who came to Cedar Key in 1909 and started up the Standard Brush company using the fibers from the palm tree there. The company went under in 1952 when synthetic brushes came on the scene, but this Mr. Andrews in the pic with Jenny was born upstairs in the old Andrews house out behind the museum. He must be 80 something and was a doctor in Gainesville for many years. The father was a dentist who came to Cedar Key looking for a girl. He found her and married, setting up the brush company with a prominent local engineer. These people were the most friendly and laid back folks I've had the pleasure of encountering in a long time. We loved it!
