I've been warned by many that you are indeed disturbed . Thats a picture of a bumm, about 3 months AFTER a 14ft fall from a dirt ramp that was slightly miscalculated, regarding speed and height.

Attractions and Points of Interest:

Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania: This chasm is over 1,000 feet deep and stretches for 50 miles. It is the highlight of this mountainous region of the Keystone State and serves the community of Wellsboro as a major reason to visit the town. It has both an east and west rim. The east rim contains the visitor center and gift shop.

Wellsboro Diner: This is one of the last “barrel topped” diners in the area. This local icon was established in 1939. http://www.wellsborodiner.com.

Eaglesmere: This was a resort town for the wealthy back at the turn of century. It has a bunch of shops with Victorian charm. http://www.eaglesmere.com

Forksville General Store: Located at the intersection of Pa 54 and 87. This is a great old country store with a covered bridge nearby. http://www.forksvillestore.com

Worlds End State Park: A spectacular view from High Knob Road off Pa 54.

Ricketts Glen State Park: 13,000 acres of prime woodland in Sullivan, Wyoming, and Luzerne Counties. Pa 487 runs right through the center of it.

Cohicks General Store: An interesting place to stop on Pa 973 off Pa 287 in Salladasburg with homemade ice cream and rural charm.

Jolly Trolley: Soda fountain, restaurant, and variety store on Main Street in Dushore.

Market Square Grill: On Pa 487 in Benton, just north of Pa 239. Outstanding fare.

Brass Pelican Restaurant: right up the street from the Central Park Hotel.

Steve, I rode yesterday & today 30 miles each day on errands after 3PM. Both days just broke 60 degF. The Widder vest and heated grips were too hot!! Both days, as I was listening to the engine purrrr in 6th gear I thought - - - - MAN am I glad I moved to Georgia from Easton PA !!

How about a simple sketch of the Central Park Hotel and the two annexes showing layout and rooms (and where the bathroom(s), showers, food are)? Details of how to find the exact place once one arrives in beautiful downtown Central PA? Parking (is there a surcharge? valet? covered garage? on street?)

And also maybe a better local map that shows that while this Bash technically is not in Wellsboro and not in Benton it is still in Pennsylvania? The roads in and out from the highway and the better approaches?

Oh yeah, any glimmers of potential daily ride destinations and routes? Group planning? (I won't actually ride with you guys, you know, but once I see which way you are going, I can safely go the other way!)

As soon as the weather breaks, Marty2 and I plan to recon the area and post some pics.

Parking is free, paved, and off street. Bring your bike cover. There are three buildings on the property. the Hotel is in between both Annex 1 & 2 directly on Central Road. The Hotel has its rooms upstairs with the Bar and Restaurant downstairs. You can't miss the place once you arrive in the town of Central. They are the only three structures on the southeast corner of Central Road(County 4049) and Jamison City Road intersection.

I will be suggesting four day routes for your riding pleasure: two will be about 200 miles each, another will be shorter, and one for the Iron Butt types of about 300 miles. I calculate about 14.5 hours of daylight available each day, but due to the terrain, it will get dark just a little earlier in the mountains. One of the 200 mile routes will include the Grand Canyon of Pa.

Approach Routes from the Interstate Highway will be in the next info post. Day routes will follow.
