Annual BMW MOGA Banquet Surprise Guest

Post by Boxer »

Every year in January we have our Georgia BMW club banquet. It got postponed this year to tonight. We had a nice dinner and awards were handed out, etc. etc. But the best thing about this year's banquet was our surprise guest.

As background, our local BMW dealer, BMW Motorcycles of Atlanta is the dealer that has the mechanics who service Nate Kern's R1100S bike for racing. BMW NA told him to use any dealer in the states that he wanted to and they would pay for the maintenance on his bike. He chose ours.

Well tonight, Bob Wooldridge and his wife, who own BMW Motorcycles of Atlanta and are members of our club, brought sir Nate along for dinner with us.
Our President asked him to stand and say a few words to us and he did. I got another picture but my damn camera got him all out of focus. It takes really crummy inside flash pictures!

He pretty much just asked us all to support him at the races since the other bike owners and riders get pissed when they see support for BMW and when they get mad they don't do as well. :-)

Phil,
You guys in the south are real sophisticated, wearin' sport coats and all.

I heard that they found Nate's stolen leathers.
