For DJ... such a shame!

Post by cruiser »

DJ, it's such a shame that when I try to revisit some of your excellent 'Great Ride' reports, the photos are no longer available :(

Right you are, unfortunately all the host sites do have a time limit on postings....as pictures occupy a lot of space and space costs money. Can't blame the site owners.....

Thanks Boxermania. I didn't realise there was a time limit on photos already uploaded to some hosting sites. This dosen't appear to be the case with 'Flickr' which I use; my photos have been there for ages.

Yes, but you're limited to the latest 200 photos capable of being viewed, unless you pay.

I have Flickr as well, and now I just use it for random photos inside forum postings. When a photos drops down below the 200 mark, it can no longer be viewed until I erase some old ones.

Yes it is a bit of a shame..My web space that I load my pictures onto is only small and that means deleting old pics so I can post new pics.. :?

I plan to do another ride with pics soon..so watch this space.

Here's a few old pics that you may remember from years gone by.

The last pic was taken yesterday at St Kilda beach..and I even did a short YouTube vid just for a laugh.

So my next ride might have a little Youtube vid :D ..I just have to work out how to get the vid quality a bit better.

Fantastic DJ... I feel better now! I'll have to wait until I get home from work to watch the vid - youtube is blocked from my work pc

Can you imagine how envious it makes me feel to see your Australian summer pics? Here in Hamburg its 5pm, pitch dark and freezing!

Looking forward to all your summertime great ride reports to come!

Cheers mate! :)

I don't think there is a limit of pics at photobucket.com. And it's free. I think I have 2-3 accounts with them - for various reasons. So even if you could overload them, just open a new account.

Thanks for the pics again, DJ.

DJ, you really should use photobucket.

Give it a try...it's free. Google it.
Cheers...and stay horizontal!
