In fact, I traded my Harley in on the R1200R. I was riding even less when I had it.Karamazov wrote:Let's see, you have a bike you paid a lot of money for, but have no interest in riding. For this type of use, a Harley is probably a better fit. Maybe you're a chrome guy and didn't know it.

"Can't we all just get along..."
Who cares NCGS when did we start buying bikes to please other people? I had bmw's since I got my liscence at 21(now 34) and everybody was taking the piss and said bmw's where for old people. I love them though and I also think being on a BMW saved my ass a couple of times.
Also had some old Milwaukee iron myself in the form of a Buell S1 White Lightning(shame all new Buells are so small) and loved that too and in the future there probably will be a Roadking Classic or a FXDBI Street Bob and there will also be people bashing that(the riceburner crowd and as we see here bmw owners) but I couldn't care less.

At what point in my post did I express an opinion about Harley Davidson? I was only pointing out (humorously dauntless) that there are plenty of people who buy expensive motorcycles and don't put on a whole lot of miles during the year - mcavotta's 5000 miles this year would probably seem a lot to many of them. They tend to be the people who ride cruisers and spend a lot of money on chrome accessories. Harley sells more bikes to those types of riders than any other manufacturer, how is it "bashing" to point that out.Lovely.. Every other m/c forum I belong to has those who continually feel compelled to bash Milwaukee iron. This is the first post I've read in this forum on the same.
You probably should pay more attention to the profile information on the left. I'm from Milwaukee. I have friends and family that work for HD. I have friends and family that ride HD. I have riden HDs, and ride with people who own HDs. I happen to like Harley Davidson very much.
