It varies from state to state. The bottom half of the island continent has four seasons, while the top tends to the tropical wet/dry. Climate on the south coast is affected by the Great Southern Ocean. When the wind blows north, brrrr!

Sydney temperature varies between 4 and 40degC, although most days are between 15 and 25degC. In the hotter months it's good to be close to the temperising effect of a large body of water.
