Hill Country BMW Riders?

Post by Karamazov »

Anybody in Austin? HCBMWR Members? I'm moving back there in December, seeing another RR would be nice (they're scarce in Milwaukee, not sure why.)

Yep. Give me a shout when you get here. The riding season's really getting under way right now.

I'm not a HCB MWR member, but I do live in Hunt, Texas, the heart of the Fabulous Texas Hill Country. The roads and the weather are excellent right now, though with hunting season just started there is a bit more traffic than usual -- usual being essentially deserted other than occasional clots of creeping Harleys.

Twists, turns, straights, sweepers, corkscrews, rollercoasters... they're all here awaiting your inspection.

I second what reidmct said. There is fantastic riding around Hunt! It's a beautiful area.

Is there a formal Texas Hill country ride scheduled for next spring?

Here's the link to the HCBMWR:

http://www.hillcountrybmw.com/

The web site is being renovated, so check back from time to time. It's a good group, very welcoming and -- as you'd expect in Texas -- very friendly.
