Two different BMW Engineers

Post by Arbee »

The service schedule ends at 140,000kms in my handbook
but the odometer/ speedo goes to one km short of a million EG 999,999

Why the large difference in ideas or potential between the two classifying engineers at Bayerische Moteren Werke.?

You are quite correct in your interpretration. What it really means is that if the bike receives the proper maintenance all the way up to 140,000 kms, it will not require any additional maintanance untill the 999,999 kms, at which time a proper burial with a 21 gun salute will be provided by BMW Motorrad.
