low end torque
My 1150 seems to not have enough balls to take me and the wife up a hill from a dead stop without feathering the clutch jacken up the rpm. and burning the clutch a little. the bike is tuned and everything is adjusted proper. Any Ideas other then a different bike, or a littler wife?
hi pj,
I experience the same thing,
I've put it down to 2 things,
firstly, first gear feels like second gear compared to my last bike,
and secondly, if you're like me, my last bike was a big torqueee jap 4 that could move of the mark in top gear, fully loaded.(minor exaggeration)
So I've adapted.... avoid the situation when ever possible!

I had the same problem with an old girlfriend.

...Am I in trouble now?........Just kidding Mike...
Actually I think it's a technique thing...These bike do not like to have the clutch slipped at all..When taking off up hill use the rear brake letting it off once you feel the engine loading and try and dump the clutch as smooth as possible before the revs get too high.
