What makes you think that? The speakers in the iPhone project out the bottom edge on either side of the connector:

Sweet!! But perhaps it is because the new ones will feature 16GB like the new iPod?? Am feeling pretty good about having sold mine now (at no loss).

I thought the little indent with the square in it on the front was the speaker.
