Secon Drain plug

Hi everyone, I was changing the oil on my R1200R and I noticed a second drain plug next to the oil drain. There is also what appears to be a filler plug on the right side of the engine. Do any of you know what these are for?

Strange that your not getting an answer. With all the expertise on this list it seems like someone would have the scoop. I can just see it now at first oil change. Undo drain plug - out comes - spring - ball bearing - a few shims - a little oil and the neutral switch.
