OT: R1200GS "Most Successful BMW of all"

Bit off-topic for this forum, but I just happened to catch this article on the Motorcycle.com site. Apparently the GS assembly plant has just rolled off its 100,000th bike, making it the quickest model to achieve that number in BMW history. I don't own one, but, like most road-exclusive Beemerites, I do occasionally have lustful pangs.

In other off-topic news, as a long-time Nikon user, I was gratified to hear that Nikon has just sold their 40-millionth lens.

It's always satisfying to have one's excellent taste in products validated by history.

I believe that BMW has said that the RT is their best seller right now. But the GS is a close second.

Right now, if money were no object I'd own a R1200RT and GS, as well as the K1200GT and R-Sport.

I will most likely acquire the RT first however as money is something of an object...
