New to me '07 r1200r non abs, just a few questions please

I picked up the bike on Tuesday with 13,000 and went for a nice 150 mile ride yesterday. It looks like I'm going to need a few minor upgrades. I've searched around some and haven't been able to find exact answers so I call upon those in this forum with their wisdom and experience. First up is bar ri...

Re: Looking for advice on wiring in additional lighting.

I'm not set on mounting the dimmer there, but my understanding is that the lights will kick on 100 percent when the high beam is switched on (if you wire it that way) and reverts to whatever the dimmer is set at with the high beam off. I'd assume you would set the dimmer prior to riding, or they mak...

Looking for advice on wiring in additional lighting.

I've been looking at hooking up some LEDs. I've done some research and I'm pretty sure I want to go with a set of these. http://stores.advmonster.com/model-60-led-off-road-flood-light/ with a dimmer switch added in. The owner of the company sent me a few pics form a previous customer, as seen below....

Re: Rough idle after dirt road romp.

Rob, that looks just a little out of my comfort zone for the moment, but maybe one day. Thanks for the link Just an update guys: I called the closest dealer up in Miami and just my luck they had two in stock but we didn't discuss price, I just assumed they would be in the $120-$140 range. While I wa...

Re: Rough idle after dirt road romp.

I did check the air filter and it seems fine. Tower, I pulled the connector for the right side while the bike was running, and no change, still idling rough. I pulled the connector on the left side, and it ran rougher. Am I correct to assume the right side is failing? I'll go to the dealership tomor...

Re: Rough idle after dirt road romp.

I checked on that and it looked like everything was seated correctly. It looks like the places where the cables attach to the throttle bodies go all the way back and touch the bolts they rest against. Should I pull the tank and check where the cables split or should I start looking elsewhere. Thank ...

Rough idle after dirt road romp.

Hello. So as the title says I ended up on an extended detour due to a bicycle race with police escort. Part of the detour was a 15 mile dirt road that was pretty mellow but did have a few bumps here and there. Later in the day I noticed the bike idling funny but it runs fine when on the throttle. I ...
