Hi all,
Been away from this site for a while. Back into bikes with an 04 1150RT. Starting to plan for some trips this upcoming summer and found this site. Thought you might find it useful too.

Thanks for the WB. If all goes well, I'll be the proud owner of an '04 R1150RT limited edition. Found one in showroom condition.

R vs RT
Hello all, I'm back on the list after taking a year off to live on my sailboat. Stupidly, I sold my R1150R before taking off and I'm on the hunt for another bike. I really liked my R. This past weekend I rode an 1150RT. Really nice bike, but I think for 1 up I'd choose the R. I'll prob. end up with ...

Good Tank Protection
I put one of these http://www.mag-knight.com/ on my R. Worked great, didn't cost a bunch and could be easily removed if I decided that I wanted something different.

Sad to be leaving, but happy for the reason
Hi Dean, Man, those old boats are incredibly beautiful! I bet you really enjoyed sailing on that, but it must have been a lot of work to maintain it. The IP 40 that your sis and BIL have is a great boat too. Our boat is a 1978 CSY 37 Plan B. It's a big, beefy boat that suits me just fine. It's not a...

Sad to be leaving, but happy for the reason
We'll be leaving the great lakes in the fall, heading south to FL. We'll winter in the Ft. Myers area and work there till spring. Then we hope to hit the Bahamas for a couple of months before heading up the east coast to the Chesepeake bay for the summer.

Sad to be leaving, but happy for the reason
Hello all, Sadly, I sold my R1150R. This bike was the best motorcycle that I ever owned, or rode for that matter. The good part is that my wife and I are selling out and going to live on our sailboat, a move we've been planning for many years. I had hopped that I could keep the R, but when it became...

What do non riders say
I had stopped to take a break and was sitting on the bench out in front of a rural gas station. A young kid, kinda punk lookin with piercings and tatoos came out the door. He just stopped in his tracks, looked at the R, looked over at me and said "Dude, that is sweet", shook his head and s...

Great Bike
Hey Randy,
Man, that's a great lookin bike. But with all due respect, I'd have rather seen a scantly clad young lady gracefully draped across the bike!
Seriously, nice bike.

Big Guy
I'm almost 350 and rode 2 up with my wife who is around 120. We went through Deal's Gap with no problem at all....the bike in third gear most of the time, 4 some times. Was almost like riding an automatic transmission...never had to shift and didn't get left behind! No suspension mods....just crank ...

my 2 Cents worth
I watched the DVDs and really liked the show. My wife, who doesn't even like bikes and would rather I sell mine, even liked the show. OK, they had support. They said that up front. How many of these type shows have you seen where they try to make you believe they didn't have support and you know dam...

Mount the bike on deck
Man, do I wish I could. I bought the bike in the summer of 2004. I had not ridden in about 20 years. What a bike to start on! LOVE IT. But this cruising plan has been in place for a lot of years. I knew I would probably have to sell the bike but held some hope that I might find a way to keep it. If ...

new/used
Hi George, I have a 2002 R1150R with a Corbin saddle, Rodagear tankbag and a parabellem supertour windshield. I might be convinced to sell the bike because next summer the wife and I are selling out and taking off on our sailboat for an extended cruising lifestyle. The bike has under 8K miles, has b...

I like it!
Well, the music sounds like "The Trans Siberian Orchastra". They do a cross between heavy metal and orchastra music and put on Christmas concerts across the country. The one here in Columbus is Dec. 7. I have not been to the concert but have seen one of their DVDs. The music is incredible ...

Don't make me pull this car over!!!!
JEEEEEEZZZZ ....what is the big problem here? I honestly don't get what the problem is! It feels like when I was taking my kids on vacation and they were fighting in the back seat over nothing. What frigging difference does it make if your post got moved to the off topic section? It's still here. T...

Sexist?
Is the shirt sexist? I don't know and don't care! To be honest, I'm so sick of the Political Correctness poo, I dont' care if they even have a good argument, I don't want to hear it anymore. If you don't like the shirt, don't buy it. If the show offends you, don't attend. If your feelings are hurt, ...

Harley Riders
Right up front, I'll apologize for my statement. It is not meant to infurate anyone. It's just my opinion....nothing more, nothing less. It is my opinion that most of the slams towards harly riders come from people that are fed up with the "if you don't ride a harley, you ain't poo" attitu...
