so how did you fix the brake light probem? mine stayed on after every hard breaking till I recycled the ignition...

my 02 R1150R has 60000km on the clocks and still consuming lots of engine oil... i need more than 1 litres of top up for every 5000km oil change interval

Yup, mine was similar case recently and it is solved with the o ring replacement.......

My 02 R1150R's tail light will remains on throughout after a hard breaking or prolonged trip. After turning ignition to off and on again, the light will be reset. I realsied that too... I take the lowest reading as my guage, not sure if it is correct

Answer is yes... I am using Staintune now with exhaust lowered

JUst change my front tires yesterday (Metzler Z6, no change from previous) However, as I put it thru 140km/hr, very wobbly feel on the bike. I was there at the workshop throughout the change the balancing was carried out, any other probable causes?

I just had the same problem with some back firing. It was due to a high resistance in the spark plug's leads as well as a fouled spark plug.

Thanks guys.... I was riding Japanese bikes all my life till I got this BMW... What I did not make clear was I ahd no rpblems with the gear shift going into neutral from 1st gear till recently(So i can't really be my riding/shifting technique) Also when I meant "soft" I meant relatively so...

recently my R1150R started to shift into the neutral from 1st gear if I kick the upshift too softly...is it normal or is the cluth going to kaput soon?

I went for a ride recently with a big group of BMWs(almost 20 of various models) Apparently the backfiring is a common thing. It will be more frequent with after market exhaust.

Hey, same problem here! I am using Staintume exhaust/no cat.... alway have some pops in near close throttle position espcially at low gears ( 1 or 2) Also at low gears, the bike is a little jerky... I know someone here mentioned to remove the O2 sensor... Any expert views/advice for the pops besides...
