Anyone know what the basic wattage consumption of a stock K1200R is? The alternator of the KR generates 580 watts, about 50 watts less than a R1150R from what I recall. I bought a pair of Gerbing heated pant liners in December, and I just bought a Gerbing jacket liner and heated gloves earlier today. I'd like to know how much juice is left to charge the battery if I plugged all this gear into the accessory socket of a K1200R Sport. The gear I bought all together will need about 180 watts to operate.

Yong,

The guessing over at I-BMW and K-Bikes seemed to recognize that the bike might draw up to 350-370 watts running standard stuff.

Leaves 210-230 for accessories.

I think the CANBUS reduces the usual loads and shares watts intelligently thus reducing the bike's base draw even more. But have found no figures and no credible information about it.
