Final drive lube

My service tech suggests that the lube be changed at the 6000 mile service intervals as insurance. It is not expensive to do, so what the heck ! BMW first service labor flat rate includes the fluid change. I suspect that theydiscovered that during the breakin period that there is some metal particles in the fluid due to the run-in of the gears.
