I'm cautious but not afraid of heights. This link will take you to a sequence of pics you won't believe. You won't EVER see me taking that hike.

How about you? Would you do it?

I've made many bungee jumps in my day, worked high altitude construction in NYC when I was in college and loved it, but this....no way !

The other yahoos around me would make me nervous.....

I like heights, but I would not do this because of the yahoos and also because you can't trust any of the supporting infrastructure
we're going to help the park rangers rebuild the trail: it's simply falling apart all over.

If something like this was in the U.S., I'd do it and probably have fun. In China and most other places in the world where people don't have the mentality of involved processes and quality control over their work, heck no! It's not that I would blindly trust the National Park Service or a group of construction workers simply because they were Americans, it's just that my trust level would be higher and the fear factor would be lower.

I dunno...

That wooden walkway looks like it's been there for a couple o' hundred years...

But no, not with a gun to my head.

You can sure tell that liability lawyers are very numerous in China. Of course, that was a national park I believe, so suing the government in China could be more hazardous to your health than the trail!

And no, I wouldn't do it. :P

I don't mind heights if I'm properly roped up but there's nothing that would get me up there.. :?
