Where can find info on modifications, like changes in air filters, exhaust, engine controller, etc.....

What would be nice is a web site with dyno plots quantifing different configurations. Anything like that out there ?

Ric, here is a very comprehensive thread over at BMWSport touring that covers a step by step Remus install on the R1200ST/RT/R engine.IMHO the stock air cleaner is as good as it gets. Also at this TIME there is no engine controller that works with the R1200 engines, no matter what you read. The addition of a full Remus, which means the Remus head pipes plus can will give you 106 RWHP and a smoother torque curve, It takes a while for the engine computer to learn the new exhaust system, but it will.

By the way, I had a '69 H1 white tank Kaw, bought new in '69, that thing was fast, horrible brakes. Worst M/C accident that I ever had, front brake locked up at 80 on a LA freeway.

Great link Dean very informative and realy makes a point for getting a full system if you want to change anything. A shame to see that just the slip on brings a loss in the torque and even hp department where it mathers the most. Sad thing is I was quite sure I was going to keep the cat. this time due to stronger regulations in the eu countries over here. Removing the cat will make traveling abroad a lot harder/ more stressfull as the german police doesn't fool about and impound your bike imediatly if you don't have eu aproved parts on it. Also still ike the look of the stock stainless can(not the chromed one luckily) but do think it's rather big and heavy.
