One Loss Teams:
USC, Florida, Notre Dame, WVU, Arkansas, Louisville, Wisconsin, Wake Forest

My #1 guess is Ohio State plays Michigan twice this year. BCS Championship game looks like these two.
USC has to play Cal and Notre Dame (and UCLA). IF they win out, then maybe they get the nod.
Florida will not survive the regular season without another loss. Either Florida State (stop laughing) or the SEC title game against Arkansas.
Notre Dame? Maybe for tradition's sake if the others lose enough points going in. BUT USC defeating Notre Dame puts them out.
WVU needs to defeat Pitt and Rutgers (and South Florida (the other Miami!)); it needs Louisville and Rutgers to win out (except for Rutgers vs WVU of course); and it needs USC and Notre Dame to go down hard so the computer polls get more skewed in their favor. They only control part of their destiny it seems.
Arkansas has a big shot if it wins out and if USC and Notre Dame fall out. Many pollsters like the Arkansas better than any in the Big East for the BIG GAME.
Louisville lost big to a lower ranked team, in its own conference. At least WVU was a #3 vs #5 loss - understandable. Louisville cannot win the Big East (three way tie is best hope) and cannot exceed WVU or Rutgers in BCS scores.
Wisconsin has the disadvantage of being in Ohio ST/Michigan country.
Wake Forest and Boise State - I'm sorry, I cannot concentrate on these teams at all. BCS games? Maybe. BCS championship? NO WAY!
Leaving Rutgers. Hmmmm! Win out versus Big East foes and become sole Big East champs. Arkansas (losing to LSU maybe) and Florida (losing to Florida State) could fall down. USC (defeat ND and lose to Cal and UCLA) and Notre Dame (fall to USC (lose to Army???). BUT Michigan would get the BCS nod if all those other things happened.
So fellow prognosticators (and GypsyRR) what thoughts to share?

I think on January 8, in Glendale you will see
Ohio State versus either USC or Florida (although I hate that Florida will be there since I'm a Florida State fan).

I'm in with an Ohio State - Michigan rematch unless there is a real blowout in the scheduled game. Just look at the BCS numbers. There is a heck of a gap between 2 and 3. So a close loss by #2 against #1 (even more so with the reverse) should not completely close the gap.
Rutgers/Wake Forest/Boise State (my ex-wife's alma mater). Out before they began. It may be unfair (frankly I don't think so), but that's the way it is. Even undefeated, who have the Scarlet Knights played. And, the advantage of fighting middle weights while others are in heavy weight competition all year....the polls will take note. They start in too deep a hole to climb out. (Plus, Boise State dodged a bullet this weekend).
WVU. Maybe. But they need a lot of help and the numbers are starting to look insurmountable.
