Took a R1200R home today!

Black. Swapped out the satin can off a silver one. Traded in my K1200R for it. The KR was nice, but sick fast and just could not go below 90 on it.
So the RR is a more comfortable ride and a licence saver (maybe)
Upright seating, gobbs of power and SUPER flickable. good combo. Also very stable on the highway at 80-90 MPH and of course at 65mph
Overall I was VERY impressed with the bike's look, power and handling.
So I bought it!

It's not the bike that's "sick fast", it's your right wrist.
You need a brace to limit its travel.
A Judge told me that during my last visit to traffic court.
Can't seem to find a glove that fits though.

Put 100 miles on her on Sunday. Bike is fabulous. turn in is effortless. Highway speed is stable. Seat could be better (read much) and I look forward to Suburban or someone making a peg kit. I have a high seat on order which should work ok. I'm 6-0, 220lbs and the bike fits me well. I just like to add stuff I probably don't need. I wonder if the bar clamp is the same as th GS fo risers. May need them with the tall seat.
Power is on demand and torque is endless. The bike pulls like a line of mules.
Now I just need to name her??

I've got 120 on mine (a lot of rain last week), and have pretty much the same impressions. Handles splendidly. Tons of power and torque. Really strong and smooth on the highway, to the extent I've been on it. My tuchis is a little sore after an hour, though, but I can get some relief by standing on the pegs from time to time. Overall, a wonderful ride. I couldn't be happier.

Is the gas tank on the new R1200R metal or is it a plastic cover over a plastic tank like on the k1200R?
