Few rides left...

Trees are starting to change color; the morning air has a little sting to it. I parted the atmosphere with my chin for the better part of the day today, my boxer humming its tourquey symphony beneath me, my girlfriend holding me tight and pointing at the scenery of Skyline Trail road in Russell Massachusetts. A bit of sorrow sneaks in when we dip into a shaded valley and feel the cold air that has collected there overnight. It is damn near time to put on the GS hand guards and break out the electric socks. I already miss the day trips to Vermont, skinny-dipping in the cold river off route 100, stopping for ice-cream, or cruising to the beach for the day. Don't get me wrong, I do love the fall views, but right behind that colorful Maple tree rests a snow shovel...

Alas in Florida the riding season is just starting. Low 80's during the day- cool 50's at night. Had to pack the saddle bags with a thermal shirt and vest this weekend.
But because of these wonderful temps - the Florida economy has ballooned 45%+ in just 9 mos. We are literally another California: it's getting damned hard to live here . . ..
Oh well - I'm a developer - so more money for me. And some really nice months to come . . .

Ahem... you mean Southern California. Well, you aren't too far off base since we have our glut of housing in the Bay Area and even in the Central Valley (gosh, Sacramento had a big boom until just recently). Maybe a bunch of Californians are moving to Florida?
Northern Cal is getting fall colors too. Perfect riding weather for now (in the low 80s).

As they say over at Advrider.com:
