Okay Gang of All:
Time to stop asking and start telling. What are your preferred oils? No arguments, just lists and reasons. We'll take the arguments outside!
Mine:
Engine: Boxer engined Oilheads - Devo 400, Delvac, Rotella. In 15W40 blend. Because they come in handy 4 quart containers that double for disposal. They are well formulated for the type of engine we have. They do the job at a reasonable cost. They are readily available at most auto retial outlets. It's a non-thinking solution for me.
K1200R engine, trans, clutch combo: BMW 20W50 semi-synth from dealer. Not as readily available, but I have not done enough research to find a comfortable substitute yet. Pricey but well made and recommended.
Boxer Tranny: Redline HD Shockproof. Hard to find but worth the effort. Very smooth and holds heat well.
Spill your guts....
