Very nice. I don't know much about them. Is that the S or the regular model?

If you ever get bored with it, sleep well knowing it has the best resale of any car on the market.

Bob, its the regular model, not the turbo charged S model. We drove the S and didn't like it. Our mini has the continuously variable transmission (CVT). It corners almost as good as my R does! And..it has heated seats!!! Keeps my buns warm during those cold mornings!

Doug, we looked at the BMW 3 series. It was...ok, but this was a lot more fun to drive!

Mark, how long did it take to fit wheels and windows on that mailbox?
I am kidding, you know. Enjoy!

Actually Mac, its not a mailbox, its a Tardis. It's much bigger on the inside then it looks on the outside!

I love it, I am trying to think of what is in the center of the steering wheel? Or am I mistaken? (it would not be the first time) Den

Actually no one here is allowed to bash the mini!! Here is why!
I've driven it a few times, mainly the Cooper S version. I will admit that when they were first launched, I really didnt like the car. I found the ride to be choppy, undulating and stiff without any real handling advantage to the weirdly setup ride. However, I drove the mini again recently and it was a whole new animal. It handles beautifully now, has good power, its very directional and its great fun to drive. It really does have that BMW feel.
Depsite its size, its actually very roomy inside (especially the hardtop), and I think its design is well done. It may be a little weird for some, but it wasn't really designed for everyone - definitely a niche car. Its about time manufacturers took some risks with car design.
Dont knock it till you drive it!

Very cool. Also waaaay too small for me!
When I sat in one, I could reach back and flat palm the rear window without trying...but i sure wish i could fit!!
Oh, not to be finicky, but i believe that the S version is supercharged, not turbocharged.

Tardis...you guys watch Dr Who? We were just discussing whether you got that in the US as we have a new series here in the UK.
BTW I had 2 of the original minis in the early 80's, like a roller skate but great fun! Never driven the beemer version but it looks great.
