Hi all,

Does anyone know where to buy the Euroswitch for the 1150R?

I'd like to be able to turn on and off my fog and driving lights independent of each other and independent of the headlight. I also want to be able to do this quickly, rather than with the delay that you get from the Autoswitch. The Euroswitch sounds like the answer.

I've found threads on how to do this for the GS, including the part # of the switch (61312306178). I've searched the world over and can't figure out if there is one specifically for the 1150R or if the GS Euroswitch will also work on the R.

Any ideas?

When I investigated the euroswitch...about 2 years ago... I was told by the parts guy at Chicago BMW that they were no longer available. I'm not sure whether that meant "no longer being manufactured" or just no longer being imported.

I'm shocked at the price, though .

For that much I can hire a penthouse pet to ride on the handlebars and hold a couple flashlights!

the R1200C (or maybe the CLC) has a aux set of OEM switches that mount just inside of the right controls for the bikes fog lights.

I had my dealer fish around the fiche for me and they came up with the part #'s.

You'll drop a fair amount of change on them, but they are a wicked clean install.

(I don't have the part #'s or pics ready, but I can track that stuff down if you want...)

I have one on my '02 R1150R and don't much care for it. The switch itself is very small, tight abd well in-board pf the handgrip, so it is very difficult to manipulate. I'd pass if i were you and get an aftermarket accessory switch you can mount anywhere. The switch I got w/ my PIAAs by contrast is a push on-off (as opposed to the euroswitch's slider) very small and can be mounted on any flat surface, L or R.
