Of course, I do not understand why more car makers do not give you a galvanized exhaust system. How much more could that cost? I have one on my old 97 Audi, and they have been selling them this way since the 1980's. Porsche started in the 1970's with a galvanized exhaust system.

What puzzles me so greatly Bob is that the R's exhaust clamp bolts are already showing a touch of rust on the threads. This on a machine that has never seen rain, a hose, no moisture of any kind-just atmospheric humidity. I know the Corrosion Block will stop it dead, yet these are apparently galvanzed bolts that should not rust! Well, not yet. Stainless, Galvanized, any ferrous based metal will corrode.

My clamp bolt has rust, too. Strange. What were they thinking?

Along those lines ... I never understand why auto part stores sell license plate bolts that rust. You know these are going to be exposed to the elements. How many cars do you see with rusting bolts holding the license plate.
