There are 3? out there for ~~ $130 US--the Aerostich, the Gerbing and the BMW unisex.

Any words of wisdom of one being better than the others?

Widder also makes heated vests. I have them, they work great - worth every penny, but with that said, I wish I would have gone with Gerbings.

If your arms tend to get cold, I'd get the jacket liner instead of a vest. Widder does not make a heated jacket, just the vest with attachable "arm chaps". These contraptions are a nuisance to put on however they work well without additional bulk.

I have too much $$ tied up in Widder (vest, arm chaps, gloves and thermostat) to switch to Gerbings but if I were starting all over again, I'd get the Gerbing jacket liner.

I have a Aerostich Unobtanium Vest and a Full Gerbing outfit. If you have the money and ride in cold to 'dang cold' conditions, Gerbing is the way. Aerostich takes the chill off but can't compare with Gerbing. BTW.. if you decide to go Aerostich vest, I am willing to part with mine for a good price plus shipping

Are you using this vest for riding in your automobile? If not, it's motorcycle related... not 'off topic'.

I've got the Gerbings heated gloves and would like to buy the jacket liner. One of my reasons for wanting the liner instead of the vest is the ability to plug the gloves right into the sleeves of the liner rather then mess with difficult harnesses. The gloves, BTW are a gift from heaven on a cold day. It's always wet and cold in the winter where I live and I used to have serious hand pain from tne cold. Not any more !!
I would like to hear from someone with heated garmets pluged in series. Is there a problem with temp. regulation of two components ?

For chilly days in Socal & the west in general, I was thinking just the heated vest for under a lined jacket, or do you recommend the whole jacket liner. I would imagine my coldest riding is likely only the mid 20'sF. I do like the looks of the Gerbing

I purchased the following Gerbing items earlier this year: gloves (classic), comfort socks, jacket liner, and pants liner.

I would rate the whole package a grade B (Gerbing is the only brand I've tried). In particular, the gloves, although very warm and comfortable, seem too bulkly. I suppose given the wiring and lining, they are as compact as they can be but it certainly takes away from the "feel" of regular riding gloves.

Although the jacket liner works very well, I would like to try their Union Ridge heated jacket. You have to unzip your outer jacket and liner to unplug yourself to dismount...a real hassle.

That being said, no regrets on the $$$ spent.

Has anyone tried the their G3 gloves?

Now, the main battle I fight is visor fogging. Yesterday, for example, it was high 30s and overcast. Even on the open road, the visor would fog up...and in town, it was visor up/down/up all the time.

Anti-fogging suggestions would be welcome.

I also have Gerbings heated liner. I do not use it much but it does keep you toasty.

The new player in the game is Warm and Safe. They were the original makers of the heatroller units initially used by Gerbings unitl Gerbings went to a "foreign made knock off". Here is the link to their website:
