About three weeks ago I bought a touring screen for my Rockster from a fellow on the board. Great, smooth transaction, by the way... Thanks, Mark!!
Anyway, though I'm getting used to how it looks, I've found that to get my helmet in the cleanest air coming over the shield I have to sit up REALLY straight. I always wondered why California Highway motorcycle LEO's sat up so straight, and I wonder if they do so for the same reason. An added benefit of sitting up so straight is that I put less weight on my wrists! I've also found that my older Arai Signet helmet is quieter in the "clean" air coming over the shield than my newer Shoei RF1000, which, when I'm riding w/out the screen is quieter than the Signet. Go figure. So, it took me two years, but I'm really happy with the screen. It looks a tad geeky and detracts from the "hooligan" bike look of the Rock, but it comes off very easy for the days I long for the real naked bike experience... Of course, YMMV... The weather in N. California is absolutely gorgeous. I hope to take a couple good long rides Thanksgiving weekend.

Toner - sit on an RT and you will figure it out immediately - the riding position is completely upright - bars, pegs, seat. Completely different than the Rockster.

Do you have barbacks to lift and bring back your arms? Seat hight?

Adjust the screen so that when sitting, what is for you normally, the bugs hit the top of your helmet - and you are then most of the way there.

Actually, my Rockster has bar backs and a Sargent seat, so the ergos are great, even w/out the screen. However, being 6'4" tall, when I installed the screen I found that the air coming over the top of the screen puts a stream of turbulent air right in my kisser. If I get my head just an inch or so higher the air smooths out nicely. This screen is not adjustable unless I make some major mods to it.

I have a National Cycles Street Shield EX screen - so I can lift it , lower and change the rake to place the air where I want it.

Looks? 4, 10, 15 hours down the road and looks are no longer that NB. Smooth air is.

What ever makes your ride more enjoyable. Do you use ear plugs too? My Arai over 45 is like the after burner of a jet - ear plugs take care of that.

Ear plugs? Oh yes, definitely on rides that take me on the freeways and higher speeds. I'm surprised this shield isn't adjustable, but it just isn't...
