LED Replacement Bulbs

I don't know if this would apply to oilheads or not, but I have 3 rideable R65's .
I purchased LED replacement bulbs, 194 wedge type bulb, for the instrument internal lighting on all three bikes .
On the first installation, when I turned the key to the run position, I saw a whisp of smoke out of the tachometer .
The copper conductor on the pc board was fried for that circuit .
I found that the wire coming out of the bulb, was folded over the end of the bottom of the bulb and contacted the metal contact on opposite side, dead short .
If you get LEDs, check for this before you install them .
Greatly improved illumination over the standard incandescent bulbs .
