I took a nice ride today out to Mathias BMW in New Philadelphia, OH on some nice backroads, and I nearly had an incident. There was a group of buzzards gnawing at a dead raccoon on the side of the road, and when I approached they flew away. In the process of lift off on of them nearly hit me with a 50 megatonner.
BTW, I did get hit on my old R65 several years ago. Kinda interesting when you pull into the next stop and have a nice white pile on your shoulder.

I've never been hit while riding...(touch wood)....little bugs are bad enough.
But my car....Geees!....it's like after the first one..all the other birds think.."Oh is that the toilet..I'm bustin' to go"..and they do.
What's going on there?

A turkey vulture completely covered my flyscreen on the Bluegrass Parkway several years ago. Mild splatter went onto my jacket and tankbag. I was glad the flyscreen kept the larger part off the tankbag. The screen was easy to clean.

I don't fear bird poo. It seldom comes at you head on at x hundred kilometres per hour like the frikkin' bugs do! I have taken painful bug hits to the arms and chest - and that is with my armour - and blows the helmet that have jerked my head. But never from bird poo! Just those damn insects!
But I'd much rather take the bug shot to the body while on a motorcycle than have to scrape its guts of the windscreen of my cage
