R1150r non start - slight flicker on Rev counter

....when switching on ignition, followed by electrical "switching" sound coming from fuse box area (ie contacts opening/closing in relay). Turns over but doesn't start
Any ideas?

This is some of the obvious stuff but it gets past me sometimes.
Is the fuel pump running? Pretty obvious whining sound when you switch on ignition........providing one of the following is not the fault
Side stand neutral switch....
Kill switch

Is it in neutral (= green light on) ?

What year R1150R?
My guess is faulty Load Relief relay 1 (or relay 2 if later production date).
<edit - things assumes your battery is ok... is it?>

Hi Thanks for responses - turned out to be a loose FI relay - I'd not replaced properly when cleaning underseat area.
