I need an heavy duty waterproof switch that will decently fit under under my right thumb on left grip....
similar to the one linked below which is a push & talk switch for cops intercom I believe.

I am on the market for it but also looking for alternative options in the same mood.

Actually I want this push switch behind a bigger main switch for the Aux light On&Off...

The push switch near the grip will just be there to quickly turn off the light when urban flashing is needed.
kind of a "Morse code" type of flashing seeked for this little project.

My auxiliary lights are part of the whole centech fuse box, relay & parking can bus tap usual setup largely debated on our forum.

If the switch is standard issue for authority bikes, then maybe the dealer can obtain one for you from BMW's not-distributed authority parts catalog. They have to be able to supply these things for cop bikes that get damaged. Or see if you can find someone with a cop bike they're parting out.

Cool idea. OEM BMW parts tend to be expensive. I googled weatherproof push button switch and got a huge response. Evidently there are about a billion choices out there.

I used a light switch intended for a R1200GS of my driving lights. It replaced part of the original left switch housing. It wasn't cheap, but it fits well.

I have an auxiliary horn on my bike because my after market main horn is too loud for many situations. I use a small waterproof button mounted on my mirror extender to operate it. It cost around $5 and has been on the bike a few years in all kinds of weather without any problems. This is a momentary on switch but they can be had in an on/off configuration.
