STOP PRESS - Standard BMW twin clocked at 144.5 mph

I got this garbled message on my cellphone yesterday evening - some very excited kid waxing lyrically about his ST.....

Yup - you guessed it - none other than Dean-O - the biggest kid to frequent this wonderful website.

On the way back from the Norcal BMW clubs Range of Light Gypsy tour - Dean-O followed the San Jose BMW crew to the Bonneville Salt Flats for some speed testing of their race prepared bikes.

Well Dean-O's very excited message says he clocked his new ST at 144.5 mph - he sounded so excited he was gunna explode.

I am sure more will be revealed when he finally gets home to Pams homemade pie..

Also FYI he has now clocked nearly 15K on that ST...

WOW!! I think I know how he did it. Us old guys remember all the tricks. He folded his old bones into a racers crouch and at the critical time just before the timing lites - - - he farted.

That's very impressive. I think Dean has a full Remus system on there, which probably gives him a bit of an HP boost over stock.

I am wondering if there is something in MZ Pams pies -that he is able to go that fast, needs to live way in the country on a mountain with no neighbors nearby and the suggestions made by others that he ....at the last moment?
