Question concerning highway pegs, again.

I was just wondering. Has anyone ever fabricated or tried to fabricate a set of hiway pegs for the R-bike that is comfortable, convenient, not too ugly, and, finally, DOES NOT attach to the cylinder heads?
I am no designer or fabricator, but I know plenty of you are.
A challenge, perhaps? (Said in best Frau Blucher accent.

Where do you want to put your feet? Above, below, or next to the cylinder heads? I just lay my ankles on the cylinder heads and keep my heels from touching the headers and it is grand
Granted, I am wearing full gear and SIDI On-roads to protect from the heat. Wouldn't work so well with shorts and flip-flops

I pretty much do the same thing, but just think if we had a REAL place to stretch out our cramped knees!

Problem is that the ideal location is right where those big jugs are! You have to be a circus performer to get your feet onto the 'head-pegs' (too wide) and the 'legs-on-top' is only good for a stretch, not a long cruise.
Not sure there is an answer that is the perfect solution. I shuffle my feet around on the pegs, sometimes use the rear pegs, and sometimes just take a break and have a walk around.
