I'm thinking of joining the club. What are the benefits as opposed to the BMW RA. Also, how do you join BMW Motorrad club. It is not easy to find the signup on the website. Thanks guys....Vinny
BMWMOA.org
Do you mean the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America? If so, their website is http://www.bmwmoa.org. This is a group independent of BMW Motorad, which in my view is a very good thing. Advantages over RA (again, my opinion):
- M-U-C-H better magazine, bigger, better articles and ads, more rally postings, etc.
- More members, therefore more to network w/
- The BMW Anonymous Book - issued once a year, it has all the dealer slisted and any member who is willing to be contacted should you break down, need a tow, need a place to sleep, want to just meet up, etc. Spans all of North America.
- New feature to get towing service w/ your membership for a very reasonable fee.
I've been a member for 3 years and I think the organization is fantastic! (I belong to BMWRA as well).

Amen to what brother kjax909 has stated.
I joined BMWMOA in their first year, I forget my member number but it was under 20. A friend of mine who joined them at the same time's number was 13 (as well as I can recall). I dropped my membership after a year or two for personal reasons. I joined again and have been a member for about five years now. Everything about the organization is topnotch. The national rally is fantastic; the monthly magazine alone is worth the price of admission. It is a win, win deal.
