Why doesn't BMW offer the C1 in the US? The way gas is rising in price it would be a nice alternative. I've found that I won't ride to work because I spend twice the time changing in and out of my gear than actually riding to work
The way BMW designed the C1, you can just hop on and go!!

Because they stoped making it. It was too expensive, rode like you were drunk and could only seat one. It was also heavy and used lots of gas.

You are going to have to stop "beating around the bush."
On the other hand, imagine one of the new crop of large scooters done the same way. 500 to 650 cc engine, perhaps ABS, roll bar, etc. Of course if the C1 is any indication, it would cost $20,000. For that one could get a Hybrid which will seat four and have really good weather protection.
