I think it's time to look in to buying a lift. I have been doing all my own service and it sure would be nice to sit in a chair while adjusting valves ect. Anybody here have any experience or suggestions...TIA.......

I got a craftsman motocycle lift for christmas. I haven't used it to much but it seems to work fine. Getting onto it would help with two people, one to hold bike, the other to position jack underneath. I managed by myself though without any problems, would be a snap with two people. It was 99 bucks, i say it is a good value. Most importantly it is endorsed by Bob Villa.

I would recommend going with a table lift if you have the extra money and the space. Words do not begin to express how is will save you time as well as your back. The table lifts can also be used for lawn movers, snow blowers, ATVs, etc... Heck, it extra table space that you can adjust to your custom height.

I was lucky to pick up a pre-owned Handy lift from my local Suzuki dealer. These are what most of the shops used. Here is the link for Handy lifts:

I agree with the table lift option for lots of reasons.
My Handy is not even broken in yet after 15 years and 76,250 ups & downs.
I'm too lazy to retype a lot of stuff that's been covered in detail several times...you might want to do a search for lifts, Handy, etc. and uncover some l-o-n-g prior discussions.

I bought the EasyRizer and love it. It does not take up the room like a Handy and allows you to work all around the bike and yet the wheels/tires are free for you to work on. I use it with the R, Honda ST and my '81 Honda CB750 Supersport. The US distributor is a good guy located in North Carolina and really works to get you what you need.
