Electrify Bags Connection tank bag.

Post by scooterme »

So, I apologize if this topic has been talked to death already, but I used the search and could not come up with anything.

I have a Bags Connection Quick Lock tank bag and am considering installing the electrification ring to give me power in the bag. Has anyone used this product? Got any feedback?

Also, I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a slick way to get the power cable to the ring. Could it be snaked out of the tank opening for instance?

Cheers

Simon

I installed one onto a buddies bike I built one of my tank boxes for, he ended up getting rid of the electrifying ring because it was constantly turned on and off from the contacts not keeping a good connection. This was on a 1200GS with a heavy box/gps on top though.

The cable that came with his was of the flat kind and for the few inches it was on the tank near the front was a non-issue of being unsightly. Personally, I would not want DIY power cables running through my fuel tank if it could be done. :smt073

Yeah I had wondered about that aspect. Yikes! Could add a real element of extra excitement to a ride.

That's good to head about the wire being nice and flat, not so cool that the connection can be spotty.

Thanks for your response.
