Just joined the group and picked my 2010 R1200 R up yesterday. Low mileage, black, factory low that I will want to change to standard height suspension in the future. Thanks in advance for all the great posts and looking forward to share my adventure.

Thanks for help with the photo. Man I love this bike! It is a LOW version and a fellow forum member has sold me a pair of STD shocks. Should arrive next week. Those along with the factory STD stands will get the bike back up to a regular ride height. I am looking forward to getting the bike set up to fit me and putting many miles on her.
Hope that any one reading this has an opportunity to attend the RA Rally at the Biltmore, just a few miles from where I live. Lots of great roads, good food and an actve BMW club. FYI there is a new BMW dealership in Asheville that Rocks! Great service and attitude. If in the area make it a point to stop in and say hi.

I have been working on The R12R, installed hand guards,

hooked up my heated riding jacket and radar detector, made an auxiliary LED brake light from a police bike light and installed a Givi adapter plate so that my UGLY Givi box can be mounted when necessary. Hopefully Iwill get out in the next couple of days and give her a good road test!
Cheers,
