does anyoune know if a seat from a 2004 r1150rt would fit a 2004 rockster.

I'm 99% sure the answer is "No". The RT seats are made to be adjustable, Rockster/1150R is not.

I think they're different fittings too.

Just in case... the R1150R and the Rockster seats (F & R) are the same (as you'd expect). So any seat variant for one will also fit the other.
As others suggest, I too am 99% sure the RT stuff is incompatible with the R.
