Reflective decals

Post by ron prior »

Anyone know?...what brand of reflective saddlebag decals included a side piece, and a front piece for the lid.

Bought a new set from Bob's and it only covers the rear. I would like to match the other side if I can.

Thanks, Ron

G'Day,

I used these guys: http://www.motoequip.com/RK.htm and are very happy with the product. I have had them on the bike for a few months now with no peeling or fading. I use my bike daily so they get rain, sun and dirt and still looks good.

They have separate kits for the back, side, top and front of the panniers. You can also get A4 size pages that let you cut your own shape.

I used the outside only and then some of the left over bits for the side where the reflector is supposed to be. Being black you cannot see it in the daytime but they are bright when the sun goes down.

Cheers,

Pieter

The legality of that in the UK is debatable. Rear facing number plates have to be yellow not white.

On the other hand nothing to stop you having ,in effect, shiny panniers .

I thought that rear facing retro-reflective material is required to be red in the UK,
hence red reflectors, however it could be argued that a pannier is not part of the vehicle
any more than the rider's reflective panels on his jacket! The black/white stuff
is for sale in the UK with no advisories so I suppose it'll pass muster. #-o
