Aerostich Darien and the R

I live in South Florida and ride my R with the sport screen routinely and wear an Aerostich Darien (because it rains every afternoon in the summer). The only way to vent the jacket is to open the zippers on the side of the jacket, but when riding with the sport screen I fill up with air and look like the Michelin man. Of course, this in not very aerodynamic either. Anyone else have this problem? (Disclaimer- I'm trying to justify buying a BMW Comfort Shell jacket to replace my 6 year old Aerostich and 8 year old BMW Airflow jacket that is not water proof.)

I find that with the back-of-the-shoulders zip opened, whatever air gets in from the wrist and pit zips goes out without ballooning me.

Makes sense. I just noticed that I had my rear zipper closed. Thanks!

This is a safety issue. You must have a new jacket.
Safety always works for me.

Absolutely, the safety card has been played. Go straight to the dealer and buy your new jacket

The Comfortshell seems like a decent buy now with closeout discounts.. the San Francisco dealer announced a 50% off open-house deal, so I assume other dealers will or are blowing out their inventory also.

I will keep my eyes on the prices then. My dealer has them at $600 (blue only) so I will wait for the price to drop some more.
