I've installed them on 3 BMWs. Very high quality...nice secure connection. Easy to disconnect. Never had a problem with them in well over 100K combined use.

UPDATE:

Umm... received my jiffy tite QD's... and they seem to be the Cat's Meow... a much better system if you ask me.
Now that I have experienced this problem ... Soo glad I went with these.

BMW dropped the ball on this part. Don't know why.

I wish this was the only issue that BMW dropped the ball on.

Main BMW Motorrad parts distributor in the UK - Motorworks - tell me that the OEM QD that regularly snapped whilst being separated for tank removal, etc., was the male one, i.e. the one that hasn't got the silver thumb-press key. Eventually BMW reluctantly - aren't they ALWAYS - replaced the male plastic part with a brass one, solving the breakages problem.
But now Berlin has sourced from their cheapo supplier in China, a replacement PLASTIC male QD - presumably miles cheaper for them but the same price as the metal one for us, typical profiteering, but maybe a tad less failure-prone than the original plastic item, so the pity of it is that you can't order a replacement BMW metal male fitment nowadays.
Unless James Sherlock or MotoBins has old stock of the metal item. Or maybe a BMW Stealer.
Sufferin' succotash....
Stick to the excellent Jiffy-Tite versions.
