R1200GS "Indian-like" saddle

Hello,

I'm trying to locate a saddle that I saw on an R1200GS recently, and can not find it on any of the after-market sites (should I run away now?!).

The saddle was a front saddle, and was more or less a black, nylon-weave Indian seat - with the look of an oversized bicycle seat that has the three horns. It was black with red cross-stitching.

Any ideas?

Only idea might be to ask on a site that has a GS following. This particular forum is for the R1200R - while we might have a few owners of both bikes here, there are other places with a much wider range of GS riders to ask (ADVforum comes to mind as does the BMW-MOA Hexhead forum..)

Both Mayer brothers, Rocky and Rick make seats with that style of "tractor" seat hidden in the seat they modify; if you know what to look for, you can see it. Rocky has smooth coverings in any material, Rick has decorative stiching; I have a used Rick. I just got back from a 1500 mile week long adventure and the seat was perfect. Would look stupid on a sport bike but might be what you are after. No idea where you live. Rocky is near Santa Barbara in Ojai California; Rick is near lake Tahoe; look at the Victory seat on the Rocky site; that's my bike too and looks like tractor time and quite comfortable.

The Rocky web site has changed and he's now calling himself Bill Mayer and I don't see the Victory seat right off but you will see in the photo's the threehorned tractor underneath the modified seats.

Drive in for these guys is always best but they are used to doing it off of pictures and body type. Let us know what happens. John

Somehow I think the OP must have bought a GS since that post was his one and only one to this forum..

There is also one advertised in the cycle world or motorcyclist mag. Can't remember if it's this Saddleman or another brand though.
