When somebody installs the booster plug in their R12R, please post pictures and step by step instructions. I tried this morning and could not find the correct components to remove. I removed BOTH side plastic panels (4) removed that one bolt holding the tank, held the tank up with a towel, looked in and around the air box, couldn't see what to remove. The instructions that came with it is a joke. THANKS!!

I had a lot of trouble too.

You don't actually remove anything, that is, the Booster Plug doesn't replace anything on the bike. You disconnect a plug from the top left corner of the airbox, then you plug the Booster Plug into that. The line you just unplugged from the airbox now gets plugged into the other plug on the Booster Plug. Then you have to route the temp sensor someplace where its temperature readings messed up by hot air off the engine.

I tried to take photos when I did this, but I couldn't because the tank was in the way even when it was propped up.

yes, i could see the plug you are talking about on the air box. GREAT! now, where do you route the silver tube sensor thingy?

That's your choice. Right now, mine is just taped to the outside air intake. I want to find a better place for it.

I found this link which shows how a guy drilled a hole into the air box and stuck it in there. I'm not going to do that myself, but that's an option.

ok, now i get it!! thanks for all the help. i'll do it tomorrow, test ride it on my way to work on monday.

I brought my Booster Plug sensor right up center behind the headlight near the Charcol canister. I zip tied it to the fabric hose and it gets plenty of ambient airflow without being an eyesore or obstructing the engine air intake in any way.
