I've had a "cheap" pipe from the UK that I ended up replacing, going cheap didn't save me any money in the long run.
With no experience with GPR in particular, I can't comment on it though.
I do however have over 50,000 miles on my Akra pipe, sounds exactly the same as it did the day I bought it with no maintenance and it looks real good when I clean it up too.

You are probably right though you get what you pay for.

Did look at the GPR, but succumbed to the Akrapovic - removed the baffles and it sounds absolutely awesome!!

....don't forget Remus... I picked up my 2012 last September and the Remus has been on for about 5 months. Very happy with the quality and tone.
I was thinking about putting in the baffle just to see what it did to the sound. I don't consider it loud by any means, but I'd like to see how it changes things. The Remus also added some burble during down shifts that I tend to like.

Hello, I found a site that has a good selection of mufflers at what I think are good prices.
pipecity.com They are out of Arizona.

I've got a Staintune can on my 1150R & a full system on my 1200RT, & I think the finish is first class, & the note is just right. Nice tone, but by no means anti-social.
